Gedurende die afgelope tien jaar het verskeie spesialiseringsterreine in maatskaplike werkontstaan. Sake is al hoe meer kompleks en maatskaplike werkers word ook in die media in ’n
negatiewe lig gestel. In privaat praktyke het Maatskaplike werkers in die forensiese veld begin
optree.
