Social Work/Maatskaplike Werk through the years
OPEN ACCESS POLICY
Social Work/Maatskaplike Werk is an open-access journal, which means that (i) all content is freely accessible to users and their institutions without any associated charges; and (ii) users can utilise this content for any other lawful purpose without prior permission from the publisher, Editor-in-Chief, or the author. This aligns with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access. Within the context of SW/MW, the BOAI definition refers to the unrestricted availability of its content on the internet. This allows any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without encountering financial, legal, or technical barriers beyond those inherent to accessing the internet itself.
