Female victims of relationship violence's experiences of service rendering structures and professions and the implications thereof for social work service rendering, are analysed. Empirical data is drawn from a quantitative and qualitative national survey on violence against women in cohabiting and marital relationships. Specific attention is paid to participants' utilisation of and encounters with service rendering structures and professions. Based on the analysis, implications for Social Work with specific reference to the utilisation and implementation of social work methods for both the prevention and the treatment of the phenomenon, are indicated.
